Culinary Storytelling - Summer Sundays

What: Five Sundays of food stories with local chefs from Hawaii. Chefs will tell local stories and myths and its relationship to the food traditions of Hawaii and the Pacific Islands. The talks are held in conjunction with the Smithsonian exhibit “Key Ingredients” (at the KCC Library).

This Weekend – ArtSpree at the Contemporary

Imagine colorful dancers hanging from trees, slam poetry spoken by neighborhood youth, on-going Hawaii storytelling, and a range of contemporary visual arts, music, performance artists, and craft booths for kids and adults alike. ArtSpree is the annual effort of Hawaii’s Contemporary Museum to reach out to the island and share its vision to create a sustainable art community.
