Shirokiya's new Japan Village Walk Opens June 25 (Oahu)

Shirokiya's new Japan Village Walk opens this Tuesday, June 25 at 10am. This $35 million dollar project in the new Eva Wing at the Ala Moana shopping center will offer over 50 Kyoto style food booths including sections for wagyu beef booths, bakeries, seafood stands, and other Yataimura joints. Simililar to the old Shirokiya's Beef Garten, the JVW will also serve Japanese beer, sochu and sake. Where seating was a problem in the former location, the new JVW boats an expanded 900 seats for its hungry patrons. This highly anticipated Shirokiya's concept store will surely attract and serve tourists from Japan, and like its former supermarket-like model, will continue to draw locals looking for a wide variety of Japanese food. With over 50 freshly prepared Japanese food choices under one roof this venue is sure to be a hit in Hawaii for some time.
