Starbucks Hawaiian CD

Mele O Hawaii features a medley of your island favorites, $12 at your neighborhood street corner chain. Has a good collection highlighting Hawaii's favorite contemporary artists from Jake Shimabukuru, Iz, and Amy to Hapa and Keali'i Raichel.

A great gift to share the aloha with others or to bring the island sounds to your home.

[happy bday to my dear friend SK - enjoy celebrating aloha Style!]

Maui Swap Meet

I like going to the Maui Swap Meet -- a mix between homemade food stands ( Ono goodies to eat like caramel Mac nuts, local ice pops, lilikoi jams)...home made crafts, local artists, a farmers market with local grown veggies, some yard sale type booths, tourist crap, and good stalls.

Not bad for a fifty cent admission on a Saturday morning. (Every Sat at the UH Maui campus in Wailuku.)

Slippahs (Maui)

Wear your heart on your feet. These designs by local Maui artist Ken Lloyd sold at the Maui Swap Meet.

(Shout out to friends S and RK--Shaka and safe travels to the islands)
